Your access to World News

As a Florida Atlantic University student, faculty, or staff member, you have access to NewsBank. A premier resource for global news research. This expansive database features over 12,000 news sources from around the world, with a collection that continues to grow. You can access regional publications, typically hidden behind paywalls, such as the Miami Herald, Sun Sentinel, and Palm Beach Post, covering years from 1989 to the present.

Fall Interprofessional Healthcare Book Club

This informal book club meets each semester to discuss a graphic novel on healthcare topics from the patients’ perspective. This semester, we’ll be reading Last Things: A Graphic Memoir of Love and Loss by Marissa Moss. Digital copies are available through University Libraries. Students, staff, and faculty from the College of Medicine, College of Nursing, School of Social Work, and anyone interested in healthcare topics are encouraged to join. Thursday, November 14, 12:00 – 12:45 PM at SE Wimberly Library, Room 136 & via Zoom.

Thanks to our special relationship with the military, University Libraries are expanding our collections on the American military. These collections include cherished wartime artifacts, photos, letters, medals, and more, offering a deeply personal glimpse into the lives of those who served our country. Your generous support of The Military Special Collections and Programming Fund directly benefits students, researchers, veterans, and their families by helping us save, restore, conserve, exhibit, and digitize these invaluable resources.
